There is a saying in real estate that the only thing that is SHORT about a short sale is the money.

My most recent closing is living proof that there is nothing short (or easy) about a short sale in Western MA, but it can be done if you have tenacity and perseverance!

This story is about a home in Westfield, MA.  The couple that owned the home was divorcing and needed to sell.  We put this very  nice home on the market February 11, 2013.  Before March ended, we had a lovely young couple ready to buy the home.

We closed the home yesterday.

Yes, it took almost one entire year to complete this short sale.

I am not going to lie….this was my longest one, yet, and it would never have happened if the buyers and their agent weren’t so patient and flexible.
