November: Month of Thanks
Many of my friends have started posting on Facebook…one thing they are thankful for every day for the month of November.
I think giving thanks every day is crucial. I try, often not successfully enough, to be grateful and thankful for something every day. I kept a gratitude journal for some time where I wrote five things I was grateful for at the end of each day. It isn’t a habit I kept, but I did like the focus on the positive.
So, while I don’t know if I can commit to the one thing a day on Facebook idea, I do know that I will use this time to be more grateful.
In the spirit, I will offer my gratitude journal list, five things that I am grateful for today….
#1- Shaunessey and Ryan. Always my first of every list I write, including at times the shit list. I am grateful for them, for their health, for their spirit, for their talents, for their love, for them being THEM.
#2- My health. I am working on it, but overall, I am a lucky adult.
#3- My friends and family. I have an amazing network of outstanding people that support me, even when I don’t deserve it.
#4- The interwebs. I am so lucky to be connected to so many amazing people via the interwebs.
#5- Dance. The only thing in the world that still and always has had the power to completely envelope me and make me forget my pain and feel just GOOD.
