OK folks, if you live in, visit, work in or just drive through Westfield, MA then you know we are in the midst of several years worth of extensive construction improvements.

Today I drove across town and this was my experience with the construction:

I understand the delays continue at the Southwick Road bridge area, I am unsure how long that project is set to last.

Housing Needed for Western MA Families Displaced by Tornadoes

As we are all aware, Western MA had severe tornado activity last week. This left many Western Massachusetts families without their homes.

The REALTOR Association of Pioneer Valley’s members are working to help their clients, friends, families and neighbors who were impacted by the tornadoes. The Facebook Page dedicated to tornado relief is here.

At present we are working to compile a list of vacant homes and apartments that we can share with the displaced families. If you have a property that you would be willing to rent while homes are rebuilt, please reach out to me either by email (use the green contact button to the left of this post) or by phone: 413-485-7380. I am also in contact with several attorneys who are willing to donate legal services in these situations.

If you are another real estate professional who has vacant listings that may be willing to do a temporary rental, please let me know, also.

Help Western MA Recover from the Tornadoes

June 1, 2011 is a date that will long be remembered as the day that tornadoes struck Western Massachusetts with a severity that inflicted devastation and much loss.

The REALTOR Association of Pioneer Valley is looking to rally their troops to help Western MA recover from the tornadoes. The RAPV is an organization that is over 2,000 people strong including sales agents, brokers, appraisers, attorneys, and loan officers in the Pioneer Valley.

They have created a Facebook page where you can choose the neighborhood that you would like to assist in recovery efforts and stay notified of current needs.

Whether you live in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts or not, the need is great and there are many ways you can help.
