Westfield Middle School South 6th Grade Band Winter Concert
Westfield Middle School South 6th Grade Winter Band Concert
Last night Westfield Middle School South in Westfield, MA held their winter band concert. The evening was opened up by the 6th Grade band, which my 11 year old daughter, Shaunessey, is a member of the percussion section.
I was really impressed with the quality of this young band. It amazed me the progress that was made in a few short months. The band is led by Luke Baillargeon who did a wonderful job training the kids to behave professionally on stage in addition to teaching them all their parts of the music.
The program included: March Onward, Bugler’s Dream (Olympic Fanfare), Kum Ba Yah, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and Rock the Halls (arranged by Mr. Baillargeon himself!).
