First Time Home Buyer in Western Massachusetts? Start here!

I love working with first time home buyers in Western MA. There is something so special about helping people find their first home, the entire experience from sharing my expertise to seeing that “look” on their faces when they find “the one” and that emotional moment when they turn the key for the first time on their very own home.

It has been my special privilege to assist many buyers over the course of my 23 year real estate career in the Pioneer Valley.

This series of videos is meant to guide the first time buyer through the transaction, but nothing replaces the guiding hand and enthusiasm of a proactive and sensitive Western MA REALTOR. After watching these videos, call me and it would be my honor to assist you in buying your first home in Western MA.

This is a brief sample of the type of advice and support I offer my clients and customers when they are buying their first home.

If you are considering buying your first home in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, it would be an honor to help you with your search.

Let me know if I can help you buy your first home in Western Massachusetts!

QR Code Marketing in the Wild…How Can REALTORS use them?

photo.JPG

Yesterday I bought a plant at Home Depot and I noticed something different about their tags. A QR Code!

I got excited and scanned the code and found information on the plant, how to plant it and what other plants would go well with it. Very cool and interactive…what can REALTORS learn from that? Well…make sure your QR Code has good value. What audience is your code directed at? Is it on a sign rider? Then your audience are buyers who will want a lot of information at their fingertips about the home in question, as well as an easy way to get in touch with you.

The biggest argument against QR Codes that I keep hearing is that people won’t make the effort to download a QR Scan Reader program and then actually scan the codes. I agreed that it would be a fringe audience when I first began using QR Codes, but with major retail outfits like Home Depot, Target and Best Buy using them prominently, I think the time is ripe for trying QR Codes in your marketing.

Westfield MA Construction Update

So residents of Westfield, what do you think of the new clock tower?

Westfield MA new clock tower

While I like it, I have heard a lot of varied response to it. I feel that once the rest of the projects are done and there are plantings nearby, it will look even better. Many others, however, really dislike the tower.

In other news, constructions is going hot and heavy again downtown. Outside the Park Square Realty office at 44 Elm Street, Westfield, MA the crews were hard at work this week ripping up sidewalks and curbing.

Elm Street Westfield construction

As I journeyed down Main Street towards East Main today, I was met with significant delays due to traffic funneling down to one lane for continuing road improvements. This construction is making it difficult to schedule home showings for my home buyers in Westfield, as you never know how long it will take to get past the various construction sites.

Main Street Westfield construction

On Court Street a more attractive job was being done as trees were added to the belt running down the middle of the road.

Some day, when these jobs are done and Westfield is a beautiful place, we will be glad for these disruptions, but for now, they are a major pain in the bum! It is encouraging to be seeing progress, even though it slows the cross town commute.
