Top Producing Agent Park Square Realty – Lesley Lambert

I am excited to share with you that I am the top producing real estate agent for the fourth quarter of 2013 for Park Square Realty.

lesley lambert, park square realty top agent

I share this with you not to boast, because to be truthful, I only found this out myself a day or two ago.  I share this because I know that my potential clients want to know if I can provide results.

I can.

I have provided results over and over as I have been consistently in the top 10% of Park Square Realty’s team.  As I move into my 25th year in real estate I want to continue to grow my business.  I want more clients to help with their real estate needs.

If you are in Western MA and are thinking of buying or selling a home, I hope that you will reach out to me with an opportunity to interview for the position of your REALTOR.

In my interview you will have an opportunity to learn about my experience, my integrity, my professionalism and my dedication to my clients.

Charlie Brown Plastic Plates and Memories of Younger Years

charlie brown plateToday while emptying the dishwasher I came upon a broken Charlie Brown plate.

Now, it is a cheap little kid’s plastic plate and I probably paid a dollar for it, but it made me so sad that it was broken and I had to throw it out.

That plate represents something that is quickly disappearing:  items of my daughters’ youngest years.   You see, they are 9 and 12 and really too old for Charlie Brown plastic plates, but I keep them and keep using them, anyway.

We used to be a house filled with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Playhouse Disney, Dora and The Wiggles (whatever happened to The Wiggles?  Are they still even a thing?).   We had toy boxes overflowing with building blocks, dollhouses with every accessory, picture books with big words, pretend cell phones and Barbie dolls.

Now?  We have iPods.  We have chapter books, craft projects, real cell phones and One Direction (that’s a boy band btw).  We have teeny-bop type Disney and Nick shows on Netflix and Hunger Games movie time.

Instead of tantrums we have attitude and hormones, which really isn’t that different than a tantrum, really, and we have mouths that run overtime saying things that really aren’t thought through instead of mouths trying to form new sounds.

Recently the girls were “fundraising” to buy a trampoline.  I suggested they sell their dollhouses and some other toys they haven’t used in a long time.  While I am glad to have the basement cleared out, it made me take pause to realize that we were crossing over from young childhood to tween and teen years.  I took a moment to remember 12 sitting in the sunny front room playing dolls for an hour or more when she was 18months old.

While looking for a book to read with 9 recently, I realized that both of her bookcases were filled with books that she is too old for now.  I had to go to 12’s room and take a series from her.  Her bookshelf is also filled with books that are too young.  Somehow getting rid of the books is way harder than the dollhouses.  I need to find a little girl to share these with, or maybe my sister will have a baby girl someday?

Last night, while sitting with a client and their 3 year old, she mentioned “Handy Manny” and I was so glad that I knew who he was and it seemed like just last year that I was watching that program with the girls.

I am glad that there are certain memories of the girls when they were little that I have engrained into my memory so clearly that I can pull them up anytime.  I am also glad that I have a lifestyle that allows me to be with them so often.  I am glad we share so many interests and that they are growing into such smart, well-mannered and talented young ladies.

All that said, I miss the little girls eating snacks off of Charlie Brown plastic plates.

So, the Charlie Brown plate went in the trash, but I still have a few fun ones left.  As a matter of fact, 12 is right this moment eating a snack off of a “Thumper” plate.  I know it won’t be long before they are all broken and it will not be long before my girls have moved onto yet another new phase, but I do love the items that remind me of their young years.

Meanwhile, I realize that one day I will look upon 9 and 12 as being the “young years” and they will grow up and move on and do all the amazing things I know they hold within their power.  So, today, I reflect upon the Charlie Brown plastic plate days and try to also admire and honor the current incarnation of these amazing young ladies.

Dancer Discount Program Matching Donation Plan

lesley lambert's dancer discount program  Did you know that I was offering a dancer discount program to the families at New England Dance & Gymnastics Centers?

That program just got a bit better as I am adding a matching donation to the New England Dance Centers Scholarship for graduating high school seniors!

If you know someone who is considering buying or selling a home in the near future, just put me in touch with them.  Upon receiving this “lead”, I will provide the $30 gift to your NEDC dancer’s tuition AND made a donation to the scholarship!

It’s that simple.

Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Things to do in Western Massachusetts in October

Apples in Granville MA

October is my favorite month and a fabulous time to enjoy the beauty of Western Massachusetts!

When I am not busy showing houses, getting houses on the market and doing all things Western MA real estate, I love to get outside and enjoy October in Western Massachusetts.

With that in mind today’s TOP TEN TUESDAY list is the Top Ten Things to do in Western Massachusetts in October:

#1- Pumpkin patch picking. Western MA is rich with farms and agriculture and it seems there is a pumpkin patch around every corner this time of year.  Put on your boots and jeans and head to your favorite farm to wander the field and find the perfect pumpkin.

#2- Take a bike ride.  Western MA is home to several awesome rail trails which make for a wonderful time biking, walking or roller blading.  Here in Westfield we have a gorgeous rail trail, the Columbia Greenway.

#3- Corn Mazes.  There are a lot of great corn mazes in Western MA this time of year.  Some are pretty straightforward while others create an entire theme with scavenger hunts included.  My family and I make an annual trip to Mikes Maze in Sunderland, MA.  This year’s theme is “The Dali-rama”.

#4- Seasonal goodies.  Western MA is also home to a lot of great local bakeries.  This time of year you can enjoy pumpkin and apple goodies in every shape and form.  Delicious pies, muffins, cakes, soups, cider, flavored coffees… you name it!  Don’t blame me if you put on weight!

#5- Apple picking.  Another favorite family adventure is apple picking.  There are a lot of great places to visit, but my favorite apple farms are in Granville, MA.  Nothing beats a crisp apple fresh off the tree!

#6- Leaf peeping.  Just a ride down your town’s main street will give you some beautiful autumn foliage, but if you are in the mood for a leaf peeping foliage drive, there are some amazing fall foliage rides in Western MA.  If you can’t get out you can take a virtual foliage tour with MassVacation.

#7- Granville Harvest Fair.  This is the quintessential small town harvest fair.  Craft show, food vendors, building tours….all set in the bucolic Village of Granville, MA.  Held Columbus Day Weekend.

#8- Hiking.  October is my favorite time to hike.  The crisp fall air invites exercise and the foliage views reward the work.  My family and I especially love hiking at Mt. Tom in Holyoke, Noble View in Russell and Sugarloaf in South Deerfield.  This list of ten great hikes in Western MA was published for the summer, but would be even better in the fall!

These next two are definitely more for the kids in your house, not my favorites, but I know the kids in the area love these!

#9- Fright Fest at Six Flags New England.  Turning Halloween into a season instead of just a day.

#10- Hayrides and Haunted hayrides.  I enjoy the former, not so much the latter, but the kids flock to these haunted hayrides.  There are many in the area to enjoy.

I hope this list of Top Ten things to do in Western Massachusetts in October has inspired you to get outside and enjoy the beauty of this great area!

If you happen to drive by your dream home on a foliage ride or decide you need to buy a farm to raise pumpkins, be sure to think of me:
