Westfield Area Contractor List Compiled by Lesley Lambert, Westfield REALTOR with Park Square Realty

The other week I took a question to the members of the “We Love Westfield Community Forum” on Facebook.  I asked them, “Who do you recommend for your assorted home repairs?”.

The answers came flooding in and I have now compiled a list of these recommendations. I want to make it clear that I am merely putting these recommendations into one list and would advise everyone to read the following statement:

The following list of contractors and service people was compiled from the suggestions of the residents of the Westfield area, primarily via the Facebook group “We Love Westfield Community Forum”. Individuals are advised that the current licensing and good standing of these businesses has not been verified and that the individuals using this list should perform their own due diligence.

If you need a recommendation for a good REALTOR, might I recommend myself? 🙂

The Spring Real Estate Market is Already in BLOOM in Westfield, MA!

Painted flowers in the snow outside Park Square Realty in Westfield, MA The weather over the past month in Western MA has been getting a lot of people down.  It is difficult to stay positive when it keeps snowing and temperatures are at an all time low, but I was inspired to try to turn a positive spin on the looming snow banks in Westfield, MA!

Armed with spray bottles and food colored water, my friend Julianne Krutka and I headed out the front doors of Park Square Realty to spread a little spring cheer to the residents of Westfield, MA!

I decided to issue a challenge to the residents and business owners of Westfield to get them involved.  Here is my video throwing down the gauntlet:

Within a couple of hours residents started posting their artwork:

This was a fun way to spend some time outdoors on a sunny winter day.  Let me know if you get inspired to create some spring artwork in the snow!

What is this PodCamp That You Speak Of? PodCamp Western MA 6

I recently posted an event on Facebook for PodCamp Western MA 6 and had a friend ask me, “What exactly IS a PodCamp?”.

By definition it is:

PodCamp
A PodCamp is a usually free BarCamp-style community UnConference for new media enthusiasts and professionals including bloggers, podcasters, YouTubers, social networkers, and anyone curious about new media. The first PodCamp was held September 8-10, 2006 in Boston, Massachusetts. PodCamps are now being held worldwide.
What I really think she was asking, though, was more like: What is it like?  What will I learn?  What can I expect at PodCamp?

I have attended all of the PodCamps in Western MA and several in other parts of the country, as well.  I truly learn more at these events than I do at any other conference and I wouldn’t miss this for anything.  I think the best way for you to better understand what PodCamp Western MA is like is to take a look through my blog posts written after the previous five events.  Take a glance, let me know if you have questions and then go REGISTER for this awesome event!

By the way, it is the only PodCamp I know of existing in the entire Northeast! 

PodCamp Western MA is scheduled for April 19, 2014 and will be held at Holyoke Community College.   You can get more information on the event by visiting their website.

Does Your Western MA REALTOR do this? 5 Facebook Marketing Tips to Sell Your Home

Did you know that Facebook statistics show they have:

* More than 500 million active users
* 50% of our active users log on to Facebook in any given day
* Average user has 130 friends
* People spend over 700 billion minutes per month on Facebook

#1- My Fanpage has a tab that features my listings

#2- Every home gets a unique web site that has photos, videos, descriptions, open house dates, maps, area information and much more which is posted to my Facebook Fanpage wall

#3- Every property web page has a “Like” button on it. When clicked the property’s web page is pushed through to the users Facebook wall and seen by all of their friends in the newsfeed, allowing more exposure.

#4- Every property’s web page also has a “Share It” option (shown in the picture above) which allows the reader to send the listing to a number of places, including Facebook.

#5- My profile has a tab that features my current listings allowing people who are my friends, but not necessarily subscribers to my real estate fanpage access to view your property.
